New NYX Intense Butter Gloss

New NYX lip launches spring 2015. NYX Intense Butter Gloss and NYX High Voltage Lipstick

NYX is by far one of my most favorite make up brands and Spring 2015 sees a lot of new launches from them. They have released new HD blushes, an amazing contour palette, a concealer palette, tinted brow gels, eyeshadows and also some very exciting new lip products. Today I am reviewing the Intense Butter Glosses for you, but stay tuned for next week where I will be telling you all about the new High Voltage Lipsticks!

NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches and Orangesicle

The NYX Butter Glosses (review here) are one of my all time favorite glosses ever, and literally did not leave my lips last summer, so I was beyond excited that they were launching a more intense version. The NYX Intense Butter Gloss ($5.99) is a more pigmented version of the original, so when it applies it is fully opaque, so is probably going to be a lip gloss that you apply alone rather than on top of another lipstick. They are creamy and smooth to apply, but as they are more pigmented feel slightly thicker on the lips than the original, yet are not sticky. I was half expecting them to set a bit like a liquid lipstick, but they actually don’t, they are a full on gloss and maintain their glossiness throughout wear which also makes them extremely comfortable and hydrating on the lips.

NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches and Orangesicle
There are twelve shades in total, but the two I have are Tres Leches and Orangesicle. Tres Leches is the nude out of the bunch which I totally gravitated to when deciding which shades to pick. It is a dusky pink/mauve nude which I absolutely love, it is actually very similar in color to Mac Brave lipstick which if you read this post, you will know how much I love it. Think of this as its glossier cousin, which I think looks so pretty for daytime and also looks gorgeous with a smokey eye.

Orangesicle is a bright orange/red which I really wanted to try for contrast between the two. It is very vivid so you have to be a little more precise with application, but the pigmentation of this is just incredible, you get bright glossy lips in seconds! As I am at my palest at the moment, I don’t think it is a gloss that I would wear during the winter, but I think when I have a tan, it will look beautiful. I am saving it for my upcoming trip to Mexico in April as I think it would look amazing with bronzed skin and golden eye make up. It is like the glossy version of Mac Lady Danger, which I bring out during the summer months as it really compliments a warm, golden skin tone.

I absolutely love these new Intense Butter Glosses from NYX, they are so nice to wear and have that same gorgeous vanilla scent that the original Butter Gloss that is so pleasurable to wear. They are quite different in finish to the original (which are more sheer and easy to wear), these make a statement in one swipe without having to layer up products. There are probably more shades in the original Butter Gloss range that I would wear, as I tend to prefer paler colors on me, but if you love a bold, statement lip, you will absolutely love this range.
