Following on from my popular Top 5 Coral Lipsticks post that I published in March, I thought I would continue the theme with my Top 5 Coral Blushers. Coral and peach toned blushers are my most worn shades, I find the warm hues suit my complexion the best and really uplift my face giving a fresher appearance.
Benefit Coralista – Probably my first Coral blush that I ever purchased and still a favorite to this day. It is the most shimmery of the bunch and gives the cheeks a beautiful highlighted look with a fairly sheer wash of color that is buildable. This is a great option if you do not like wearing too much blush as looks very natural on the skin. For a more amped up version, I love wearing this over the top of Benefits Majorette, which is actually another favorite coral blush of mine but it was hiding in another make up bag at the time I shot this so I completely forgot about it! A great option if you prefer cream blushers.
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Lover – This is definitely the peachiest blush I own which looks amazing with tanned skin. It is a matte blush that is highly pigmented and very smooth to apply. It really does give an instant boost of color to the cheeks, and can be sheered out if desired. The perfect choice if you don’t like any pink in your blushers.
Mac Proenza Schouler Blush Ombre in Ocean City (Ltd Edition) – Regular followers of mine may remember how obsessed I was with this last Spring/Summer when it launched. It is a beautiful blend of a pale apricot and vibrant coral which looks gorgeous blended together for a tropical glow. Unfortunately this was limited edition but hopefully Mac may re-release this at some point as it truly is a stunning blush.
Milani Powder Blush in Coral Cove – Milani have recently launched a line of matte powder blushers (read my review here), and for a drugstore blush I am so impressed. They are long wearing, have great color pay-off and come in gorgeous shades. Coral Cove is a pinky coral that appears quite vibrant in the pan but blends really nicely into the skin leaving a warm healthy glow to the cheeks. Definitely a must-buy if you are visiting the States! If you prefer a more shimmery peachy blush, then their Baked Blush in Luminoso is the one for you!
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Tipsy – My final choice is actually quite similar in tone to to Milani Coral Cove, but possibly a touch pinker. Tarte Tipsy is a bit of a classic in the blogging world and has been a favorite of many for a while. The Amazonian Clay Blushers are probably the most long-lasting formula I have tried and stays put on my combination-oily skin all day, without settling into pores and fine lines. This bright pinky coral is just the ticket to add a touch of vibrant to your cheeks. Highly recommended!
Of course, as a coral fan, I have a huge wish list of coral and peachy blushers that I really want to try, it is just a matter of time!
