Tom Ford Rive D’Ambre Eau De Parfum is officially is my new favorite fragrance, it smells incredible! I was lucky enough to receive this for my birthday (see my birthday haul) and I have worn it every day since. It is a citrusy scent with a warmth from the amber that makes it more sensual than your typical fresh, sharp citrus scents. The notes in it are bergamot, lemon, bitter orange, tarragon, cardamon, spearmint, benzoin, tolu balsam, amber, cognac and wood accord. It is easy to wear, yet has a sophistication that you could only expect from Tom Ford.
Rive D’Ambre is part of his Private Blend Collection, which I tested out on a recent shopping trip. I had never sampled these fragrances before, but there were so many gorgeous scents in the collection that I could have easily bought them all.
The 50ml brown glass bottle with gold detail is is elegant and really looks the part on my dressing table. The only negative about this fragrance is that it tends to wear off towards the end of the day, which for an expensive eau de parfum is slightly disappointing, but I love the scent that much that topping it up is a pleasure!
Tom Ford Rive D’Ambre is like nothing else I have tried before and I highly recommend giving this a sniff the next time you are near a Tom Ford counter.
