Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque

The Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque is of those products that everyone raves about, yet has still taken me an age to get around to trying. Whilst I was in Soho (NYC), I stopped by the Aesop store  to have a browse and ended up purchasing said mask to see if it lived up to the hype!

This anti-oxidant clay-based mask is different to any other clay masks I have tried before, it is much thinner in consistency and is more lightweight so actually feels quite refreshing when applied to the skin, with a very slight tingle. It contains Aloe Vera too which prevents the mask feeling tight on the skin, so you are actually able to move you face without it cracking! It has quite a herbaceous scent to it which makes it smell quite medicinal but is also pleasant at the same time. Once applied, it dries fairly quickly and after the recommended fifteen minutes, it literally just wipes off with a warm flannel (no scrubbing required!).

The Aesop Parsley Seed Masque is a cleansing mask, so does a brilliant job of deep cleansing the skin. The purified clay draws out impurities, whilst Rosehip and Parsley Seed extracts deliver antioxidants to revive the skin. It feels so soothing on the skin so is suitable for sensitive skins, and it does an amazing job of balancing the skin so also great for combination to oily skins.

I have been using this about twice a week or whenever my skin feels a little congested and find that it immediately revives and brightens my skin. My skin feels decongested and calm, my blemishes are reduced and my pores are clearer. The effects are pretty immediate from this mask and love that there is no redness or sensitivity, which can often be a result of clay masks. My skin feels firmer but not stripped and it does not dry out my dehydrated skin.

I am seriously in love with this mask, and I would recommend it to anyone especially if you are blemish prone like me!
