So I am half way through my pregnancy and over the past six weeks or so, I have been treating my bump with the Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter ($12.99), which you may have seen me mention in my June Favourites. Enriched with Shea Butter and Vitamin E, this lightweight, body butter is fast absorbing and doesn’t leave you with that sticky greasy feeling, so it is perfect for the mornings when you need to get dressed. It is also fragrance-free so perfect for mamas that are adverse to strong smells.
For this stage of my pregnancy this has been a lovely nourishing belly butter that leaves my skin supple and smooth. I like that it contains no nasties and that it absorbs easily, however now that I am 20 weeks, my bump will be growing more rapidly so want to invest a bit more in the creams and oils that I am rubbing on my bump. I know stretch marks are mainly genetic, but I really want to avoid getting any new ones so believe that preventing is definitely better than cure, plus the fact that I want to try out different brands so that I can review them for you! So far so good though and I think this is a nice purse-friendly option for moisturizing your bump!
