The collaboration between Charlotte Tilbury and Norman Parkinson has got to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing collections ever created. The elegant and chic rose gold packaging that Charlotte is synonymous for, together with the stunning pictures captured by one of the twentieth century’s best known fashion photographers, Norman Parkinson is just a sight to behold. I knew I had to have at least one piece from the collection, and I decided on the Colour of Youth – Healthy, Happy Lip & Cheek Glow.
The Charlotte Tilbury Colour of Youth is a beautiful cream cheek and lip product that really works well on both. Its creamy, yet non-sticky formula makes it easy to blend onto the cheeks. I have found it applies best by gently tapping it onto the cheeks, which provides and instant flush to the cheeks, with a slight dewiness that looks extremely youthful.
It is a bright, yet warm toned peachy pink cream that gives an instant radiance to the skin, which I think would suit a number of skin tones. It has microfine pigment technology, which ensures this high color pay-off and also long-lasting performance. It can also be dabbed onto the lips, as you would a lip balm and is actually extremely hydrating. Far too often multi-use cheek and lip products can be rather drying on the lips, but this is quite unique. It leaves a gorgeous peachy pink color, which tastes great, and leaves them feeling very comfortable and hydrated.
Finally, we need to take a moment for the beautiful Norman Parkinson photograph on the compact, which is in fact of his gorgeous wife Wenda. This is a previously unprinted photo which was take in 1956 and gives a vintage look this compact making it extremely collectible.
