I think October has got to be one of my most favorite months of the year, particularly here in New York where I am loving the cooler climate of Autumn and take joy from watching all the leaves change color. The holiday season is approaching, starting with Halloween on saturday and then the countdown to Christmas starts…eeek! I haven’t really bought too much over the past month really as I have been trying to use up several things. However, the products that I have been loving are ones that I have been using nearly daily and have pretty much become staples! So here are my favorites for October:
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation
I don’t think I have written a favorites post for ages without a Charlotte Tilbury product featuring, they are just so amazing. The new Magic Foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation that stays put for hours and covers all imperfections whilst still managing to feel light as air on the skin. It blends really easily into the skin and gives the skin a semi-matte finish which is perfect for my combination to oily skin. Only available in the UK at present, will launch Stateside early 2016.
Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer
A great moisturizer that hydrates the skin well, calms redness and makes the skin more even. It is great both underneath makeup up and at night and I love the pump bottle which makes it great for travel. It has not broken me out at all and so would recommend it to anyone with easily irritated skin.
Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus & Gel*
This is a new type of brow product for me and one that I have been loving. The full, slanted tip makes it so quick and easy to apply and to get a good shape to your brows. There is also a handy brow gel on the end to set your brows all day long.
Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner in Sumatra
This deep brown liner is a great little invention, every time you replace the lid, it sharpens the pencil so it is precise every time you use it, and is great for travel when you don’t want to take a sharpener. The nib is narrow and small so makes getting closes to the lash line very easy and the waterproof formula lasts all day. It is quite soft so does wear down after every application, but I guess thats what the built-in sharpener is for!
Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo in No. 6
This nude lipstick is somewhat different to the other nudes that I have in my collection, it is mauve-toned which I think makes it look quite sophisticated on the lips. I love the crayon shaped nib as it makes application very precise without having to use liner and it has an opaque stain finish to it which lasts really well on the lips. A great addition to my nude collection!
