Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer

Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer

If there is one makeup item I need more than ever now it is concealer! I love, love, love my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and am still using this, but having a newborn baby, the dark circles need to be addressed, so I need something a little more. As luck would have it the new Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer has recently launched and as I am already a loyal fan of their Full Cover Concealer, I knew I would be onto a good thing.

There are ten shades that have launched, five of which are color correcting to neutralize dark circles, and five of which are concealing to brighten and awake the under eye area. As I was desperate to rid my dark circles, I decided to test the water with one of the color correcting shades and opted for R30 (for medium skintones). I was a little hesitant when ordering online whether this would be the right shade for my NC30 skin, but it is pretty perfect at the moment. I don’t however, like to go for anything too light as feel it looks a little unnatural on me.

Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer

The Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer comes in a narrow squeezy tube which I thought looked tiny when I first got it, however, you only need the smallest amount and the nib makes it easy to dispense just the right amount! I like to pat it onto the under eye are with my fingers and then either blending with the Real Techniques Setting Brush or my Beauty Blender, the latter though gives more of a flawless finish I think.

This concealer is beautifully creamy so it applies and blends very well and has a lightweight formula so it does not settle into any fine lines. The concealer contains Pure Focus Pigments that reflect light to erase shadows and contains hylauronic spheres keep the area hydrated. It is extremely pigmented so a tiny dot is all that is needed to instantly hide my dark under eye circles, which it does very well. After I have corrected my dark circles with this, I then go in with my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer to brighten, although now having loved the color correcting option, I am very tempted to also get one of the concealing shades for maximum effect as I think it is a really great product and would recommend it to all the new mums and party owls out there!

Available from Sephora ($27).
