Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette By Mario Review

The Master Palette by Mario from Anastasia Beverly Hills is probably my most favorite eyeshadow palette I’ve bought this year! For me, it ticks all the boxes, selection of wearable neutral shades – check, warm in tone – check, used on Kim Kardashian – check!! It was only a matter of time before Mario Dedivanovic, (most famous for being Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist) released his own products and where better to start than an eyeshadow palette of dreams, this is definitely one to snap up asap as it is limited edition and selling out fast!

In collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills, this special edition eyeshadow collection has been created by Mario and honestly, it is the most beautiful palette of shadows I have seen in a while. All the shadows are extremely wearable and there is no dud shadow just for effect, I would literally wear all of these shadows. There are three matte shades, Lula, Isabel and Violeta, all of which are suitable crease shades and the remaining nine shadows are all shimmery to some degree (some more than others), but none have that awful chunky glitter that I detest in shadows, they are all very smooth and have little fall out during wear!

All the shadows are intensly pigmented, I have actually never tried any ABH shadows previous to this, so am truly impressed and now see why they are so hyped up. All the shades are of premium quality, they kick off a little powder when dipping your brush in because of the amazing pigmentation, but simply by tapping off the excess before application, this is minimized. The shadows in the Master Palette By Mario apply so effortlessly and blend with ease, so are a dream to work with.

The shadows are elegantly packaged in a black and gold cardboard-style case with magnetic closure,  It also includes a large mirror and dual-ended eyeshadow brush which is actually pretty decent as far as palette brushes go! It is a sturdy, yet lightweight palette and a good size to fit into your makeup bag.

The shades speak for themselves, there is everything you could wish for to create a warm smokey eye, I have been wearing the shade ‘Paris’ as a wash all over the eye and blended under the lower lash line for and everyday easy look. However, I also love to use Lula through the crease, with 5th Ave, Marina or Hollywood on the lid and a touch of Muse in the outer corner. It is tough to pick a favorite shadow out of all of these, but I love the red undertones of Muse as it really makes my green eyes pop. I even love the inclusion of ‘Bronx’, a dark khaki green and ‘Claudia’ a navy blue, which are shades that I wouldn’t usually wear but paired with other shades in the palette, they provide a beautiful, alternative look other than just your browns and golds.
