Beauty Products That Make The Best Holiday Gifts

Beauty Products That Make The Best Holiday Gifts

As a beauty addict, I know I’m biased when I say beauty products make the best holiday gifts, but there is such wide variety of products available that you are sure to find something for everyone, no matter what your budget. A lot of beauty gift guides focus on gift sets, which I have also done in the past, and while I think these make terrific gifts, I wanted to bring you inspiration on the ‘everyday’ beauty products that you can buy year round, that make the perfect gifts.

Makeup

Palettes make the amazing holiday gifts, you can buy eyeshadow, blush, contour, whatever you wish and there are so may options available. If you are planning on treating someone, you cannot go wrong with an eyeshadow palette from Tom Ford, YSL or Charlotte Tilbury, all of which have the most incredible formulations and gorgeous packaging that make the perfect gift. My top picks would be Tom Ford Honeymoon, Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage (review), Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita (review) and YSL Dangerous Seduction Couture Palette. Another palette that would make most girls weak at the knees is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (review) which has the most decadent packaging ever and houses the most incredible contour/bronzer and highlight for killer cheekbones.

Lipsticks also make great gifts, especially if you choose ones with luxurious packaging. The YSL Pur Couture Star Clash lipstick was literally made for the holidays, with stars embossed into the bullet and its gold glittery case, unfortunately this one now seems to be sold out online, but their original version of the same lipsticks still comes in the beautiful shiny gold packaging which is just as luxurious. Again, you can’t go wrong with Tom Ford, his lipsticks have an amazing formulation in an array of shades and finishes, there is nothing not to love about them!

Body & Fragrance

I feel bath and body products make the best gifts for the holidays as they are often the products that people don’t tend to spend much money on, so its is especially nice to treat them with something a bit more luxurious. The Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Souffle Body Creme is to to die for, it smells incredible and is a beautifully rich cream that feels lovely to apply after a bath or shower. If you prefer an oil, look no further than the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, this cult classic dry oil smells very spa-like and because it is a dry oil, it leaves no greasy residue on the skin. It is also multi-use, so can be used on the body, face and hair too.

Handcreams are a great present to give as  they are pretty much suitable for anybody. There are many different price points available, but I have chosen these two for their effectiveness as well as their aesthetics! The Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm has the coolest apothecary-style packaging and has a great formulation that really gets to work on dry hands. My second pick is the Jo Malone Geranium & Walnut Hand Cream, which is a new launch from them and this sinks into the skin beautifully, leaving a delicate fragrance on the skin. Jo Malone also has the best packaging, so even though this is a relatively affordable item for Jo Malone, you still get it gift wrapped and presented the same as any other product, so a great option if you wanted to treat somebody without breaking the bank.

Speaking of Jo Malone, their Colognes make the best gifts as their scents are unique and all so beautiful, you would be hard pushed not to find a gorgeous fragrance for someone here. My personal favorite is the Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey, but there are so many more that I love too. The bottles are just so elegant and again, the packaging is simply amazing that you would definitely get some good brownie points for this gift!

Skincare

Skincare can be a tough one really, as it is sometimes hard to determine what someones skin type is, which is why the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel makes such a great choice as it is suitable for all skin types. I have not come across one person who doesn’t love this cleanser and it is hands down my favorite cleanser ever! I have been using it religiously for the past three years and although I try others, this one will always be my number one – you can read my full review for more details but it is just the best. They have even made the packaging all festive for Christmas, which is just stunning, I cannot rave about this one enough!

Another great skincare option is lip balm, so why not go all out with the By Terry Baume De Rose, it really is the most heavenly lip balm ever, its nourishing, smells amazing and feels like a treat each time you use it. I have had the pot version for a while now, but  recently got the tube version, which is amazing for your hand-bag and great if you don’t like applying balm with your fingers. Either version would make a great present and there is also a gift collection available which has an assortment of different shades!

I hope this has given you some inspiration for your holiday shopping. Stay tuned for my stocking fillers guide, coming up this weekend!
